As restrictions eased on Monday the 12th April pubs across the country have been preparing their outdoor areas to welcome back guests after most pubs have been closed since October 2020. Electricians across the country have incredibly busy recently with diaries booked up for weeks, or even months in advance. When we got the call from National Building Services to to install festoon lighting at 5 JD Wetherspoon sites, it was all hands on deck to meet the deadline.
Even our director, Phil, was donning his work trousers again to be back on the kit making sure everything was ready in time. Our engineers paired up and visited each site early on Saturday the 10th April – we had to be flexible with our schedules because we were not going to miss the opportunity to get the pubs back in full swing 🍻.
Festoon lighting looks great in pub gardens, at restaurants, cafes, or anywhere that welcomes guests – you name it. They create a really cosy atmosphere, perfect for the merriment that’s found in pubs. With the worst of a tricky year mostly behind all of us, the pub gardens will surely see a lot of use this summer making up for lost time with friends and family alike. Especially whilst we’re not quite drenched in the glorious sunshine just yet, the lighting makes for ambiance filled evenings.
We were busy across the Midlands and East of England at The Highcross in Leicester, The White House in Scraptoft, The Sugar Loaf in Market Harborough and The Stamford Post in Stamford & The Captain Noel Newton in Oakham. If you’re out in about in any of those pubs take a look and appreciate some fantastic workmanship 😄.
Not only does festoon lighting look great on commercial premises, they look great in gardens too – if you want to spruce up your outdoor space at home or work, give us a call on today on 0116 478 3679.
