Our team
We have a team of in-house qualified specialists in electrical, security and green energy and we always have apprentices coming through our training programme. We are great believers in training young people. They are the future of our industry and this country.
How we train our team
Our engineers attend external courses regularly to keep up to date with industry changes. We train in-house extensively on technical areas, with great importance placed on how to treat customers. By giving customers first-class treatment they are more likely to come back to us and give us referrals. With less money required for marketing, we can keep our prices to you competitive and invest more in training.
Phil Houlder
Managing Director
Phil has worked as an electrician since leaving college, starting his apprenticeship in 1996. His qualifications include an NVQ in Electrical Installation & Engineering and a City & Guilds in Electrical Inspection & Testing. With a particular passion for electrics, Phil is something of an expert in most aspects of electrical works across all types of commercial and domestic applications, as well as being fully qualified.

Phil appeared on BBC show Best House in Town as a judge
Shaun Pridden
Contract Manager
Paul Hill
Contract Manager
Paul also looks after all aspects of project management and on-site work, including reactive maintenance and 3 phase power supplies for commercial premises. Paul qualified as an electrician in 1987 in Electrical Installation & Engineering and has a City & Guilds in Electrical Inspection and Testing.
Fun Fact:
Paul was a soldier in the army before qualifying as an electrician.

Carl is one of our most experienced electricians

Marcin Hinz

Marcin is in his second spell with Glenfield Electrical

Mike Owens
Electrician
Mike joined the team in 2022

Mike's an Aston Villa fan, he watched the famous Villa side of the 1890s and 1900s lift 6 league titles.
Joe Allen-Houlder
Marketing manager
Catherine & Phil's eldest son, Joe joined the team in late 2020 and has been absolutely instrumental in the growth of the business. Absoluetly indispensable

Lewis/George is one of the most reliable members of our team, winning our inaugral core values award in 2022.

His parents couldn't decide what to call him so he goes by both George and Lewis!

Glenfield Electrical have been a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. I called at 4.30 on a Friday having been let down by someone recommended personally. Shaun visited to quote at 4pm on Tuesday, I had a written quote by 5.30pm. He returned Thursday to complete the work. The price was very reasonable too. Would not hesitate to use them again.
