Making a call

You’ll always be able to reach us by phone during office hours. You’ll be told what can be done to help you and, if possible, you’ll get a quote over the phone. If it’s urgent, and you need an emergency call out, then you’ll be given a price for call out and our hourly rate. If you’re ringing for a quote, then we’ll take the basic details from you.

If you’d like a written quote, then we’ll find out when a free site visit is convenient. We’ll come out to see what you want doing and send you a written quotation within 5 to 7 days.

If you’re happy with our quote, then phone us and book in your job. Your work will be scheduled for a time convenient for you. If we need to order parts, we’ll factor this in. In the case of an emergency, we’ll get parts as early as we can and keep you informed. Electricians work 7.30am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday

Payment

Once the job’s been completed, you’ll receive an invoice. Under our T&Cs, payment is required within 7 days for private work and within 30 days for a commercial job. A pro forma may be necessary – based on credit terms. Following payment, any relevant certificates are made available to you.

Our team members are trained to:

  • Listen to the customer – make sure we understand exactly what their needs and wants are so we can propose the best solution to help them
  • Keep the customer informed – make sure the customer understands what we’ll be doing and keep them informed on a daily basis for bigger projects
  • If we’re ever going to be late, for any reason, let the customer know as soon as possible
  • Always be prompt, polite and professional – with customers, suppliers and fellow team members
  • Treat the customer’s home or business as you would treat your own home, or better if you’re not naturally tidy out of work
  • Clean behind you as you go where it’s practicable; always clean and tidy your working areas before you leave and at the end of each day if it’s a bigger project
  • Always agree additional charges with a customer before undertaking additional chargeable work
  • Make sure all our work meets the relevant British Standards and beyond where relevant. Safety comes first in the work we do and quality only just below safety. We never cut corners with safety and the customer should accept our advice when it comes to safety
  • At the end of every job, make sure the customer is a) happy with the work we have carried out and b) confident they can operate any technology we have installed
  • If the customer is unhappy about any element of our work, see if you can fix it there and then
  • We don’t just pay lip service to Health & Safety; we follow the rules. With any electrical, heating, safety or fire appliance or installation, we don’t take risks
  • Finally - what we say is who we are
