Complete Electrical Fit-Out for UKMHA’s New Headquarters, Kibworth

Project Overview

When the United Kingdom Material Handling Association (UKMHA) relocated to its new premises at Beauchamp Business Park in Kibworth, they required a complete electrical installation capable of supporting a modern office environment alongside an operational warehouse.

Working alongside Creative Commercial Environments, with the workplace designed by Switch Workplace Interiors, Glenfield Electrical delivered the full electrical package, providing everything from power and lighting through to data infrastructure, EV charging, air conditioning supplies and testing & commissioning.

The Challenge

This wasn’t simply a case of installing lights and sockets. The new headquarters needed to function as a productive workplace from day one, with dedicated training facilities, meeting rooms, hot-desking areas and warehouse operations, while also providing the infrastructure to support the business as it grows.

The installation required close coordination with both Creative Commercial Environments and Switch Workplace Interiors throughout the fit-out programme, ensuring containment, floorboxes, data cabling and specialist services were installed at exactly the right stages of the project.

Our Solution

Our team delivered a comprehensive electrical installation across the entire building, including:

• Complete containment system using cable tray, trunking and floor ducting.
• LED lighting throughout the offices and warehouse, including emergency lighting and occupancy sensors.
• Small power installation serving offices, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, welfare areas and warehouse.
• Three-phase power supplies for warehouse equipment and forklift charging.
• Structured Cat5e data cabling and AV infrastructure throughout the office.
• Electrical supplies for air conditioning and heat recovery systems.
• Twin pedestal EV charging points with smart connectivity provision.
• Fire alarm, CCTV, access control and security power supplies.
• Full testing, commissioning and O&M documentation on completion.
